Activity plan
Review the "Guide for Volunteers and Teachers".
- Use the "Vocabulary Flash Cards" to review the key definitions with the students.
- Hand out the "Picture Book" and have students review the image on the front and back cover. Discuss how the image shows people working together to make their neighborhood a nice place to live.
- Hand out the "Picture Book sticker sheet" and have students cut and paste the images into their picture book in the appropriate sections.
- Review the "Earning Money flash cards" and the "What Can You Do With Your Money?" discussion questions. These activities provide an introduction to basic personal finance.
- Hand out the "Junior Journal" to each student and have them complete the optional Make a Family Flag activity, if time permits.
