Lesson 5: A New Business activity plan
Completion requirements
Review the "Guide for Volunteers and Teachers".
- Use the "Vocabulary Flash Cards" to review the key definitions with the students.
- Complete the optional "Family Business activity" if desired for further examples of well-known family businesses.
- Review the "Business Symbol Cards" from lesson 3 with the students.
- Discuss a new business idea with the class, as outlined on page 36 of the "Guide for Volunteers and Teachers."
- Have students colour in the back cover of their "Junior Journal".
- If time permits watch the "Goods and Services video" for a review of some of the content covered in Lessons 2 and 3, or have students brainstorm another business idea with a classmate.
- Hand out a "Certificate of Achievement" to each student at the end of the course.
