Completion requirements
Have students write three or more things they learned about technology and innovation in our country. Have students re-read the story, “A Day in the Future,” and draw their favourite part, or add to the story in the form of a comic book with dialogue. Have students write a report as if it were a proposal to a manufacturing business outlining their new invention and giving reasons why the business should help them create their product for the market.
Technology link: Have students develop an advertisement for one of the products they invented, highlighting its new features and benefits. Have them produce their advertisement using graphics software or audio/video recording equipment.
